Blue Line

This piece is a continuation of the artist's reflections on the forces of nature, which know no boundaries, transgress them or even abolish them. At the junction of the sea and the beach, between the two elements, the artist drew a 400-metre line along the edge during the day. To do that, she used plaster and natural blue dye, a colour which symbolises for her freedom and unlimited possibilities. The blue line lasted for three weeks. Water gradually washed it away until the line disappeared. The erasure process of the line and the blurring of the boundary between land and water was also part of the work.

The Blue line piece was created in 2013 during a sculpture festival, Nexo Skulptur Park, in Denmark, where the topic was ‘Edge’.
